Darryl Edmonds is TrustCore’s founder and president. He has guided the firm’s growth from its inception in 1984 to one of Tennessee’s largest independently owned, full service financial planning firms.

TrustCore began with Darryl’s vision to help clients simplify their financial life and take control of their future.

That vision remains his guiding principle today, and it is the reason for his long-term client relationships. Over the years, Darryl has created a definitive process for helping his clients achieve their financial goals, provide security for their family and enjoy peace of mind.

His practice focuses on professionals, business owners, entertainers and families. His clients include physicians, surgeons, popular recording artists, corporate executives, business owners and entrepreneurs. Darryl understands the particularly complex financial challenges these individuals face. It is essential for them to receive financial and life planning advice from an experienced advisor with expertise and insight into business success, family dynamics and personal achievement.

By taking time to listen and understand his clients’ goals and values, Darryl is equipped to help them achieve what is truly meaningful in their life. He analyzes their current financial position and compares it to their long-term objectives. Then, he develops a complete, long-range strategy to help the client grow from their current position to one that fulfills their life goals. The strategy covers financial issues such as investment portfolio analysis and asset management, risk management, tax planning strategies, stock option analysis and strategies, real estate investments, retirement planning, education funding, personal business management and charitable and estate planning strategies.

Darryl coordinates all the elements of his clients’ financial life. He brings all the individual parts, such as insurance, Wills, tax strategies, investments, education funding, stock options, income, expenses and other financial factors together to form a coherent, big-picture view. He communicates frequently with his clients’ other advisors, including attorneys, CPAs and trust officers, bringing their perspective into the planning process. From a financial planning viewpoint, Darryl counsels clients during life changing decisions, such as the sale or purchase of a business, retirement or other major financial life changes. He also advises clients on business investments and the sale or purchase of major assets, including residential and commercial real estate.

For his entertainment and professional clients, Darryl mobilizes the TrustCore Business Management team, a special department within TrustCore available to qualifying clients. The skilled and knowledgeable business management staff relieves clients of the time consuming tasks of managing business finances, such as paying taxes and bills, reconciling bank and credit card statements, writing payroll checks and keeping records.

Darryl has been a financial planner for more than 25 years. He provides fee-based financial planning services, which enables him to give objective financial advice that is client-centered, not commission driven. He was one of the first in Tennessee to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. In addition, he is an FINRA registered principal in securities, municipals, options, financial and operations and a licensed agent for life, health and property and casualty insurance.

Darryl is a member of the Financial Planning Association. He and his wife, Anne, have a son and a daughter, both young adults. They make their home in Brentwood, Tennessee, where they are active in their local church and community.
