Master of Science in Finance
Randy came to TrustCore in 2001 from an independent financial planning firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. He provides comprehensive financial planning to busy and successful individuals and families. His objective is to grow his clients’ wealth predictably and shield them from situations and people who may cause financial harm. Randy specializes in the unique needs of business owners, executives, physicians, and real estate investors. His technical achievements and attention to detail make him well suited to clients who have strong financial backgrounds themselves or have high expectations of their advisors. Several of his clients are CPAs, hold MBAs, or serve as corporate CFOs.
Randy provides a thorough approach to financial planning by coordinating the efforts of his clients’ other trusted advisors. He implements a comprehensive written plan that covers the key components of a client's financial life. Issues addressed in the plan include cash flow management, retirement planning, diversified portfolio design, investment performance, estate planning, and tax minimization. While Randy is involved in all aspects of a client's personal financial life, he has special expertise in analysis of private investment opportunities and business acquisitions, portfolio design using alternative investments, executive compensation, and investment real estate.
Randy is an adjunct professor with his alma mater, Golden Gate University, where he earned a master's degree in Finance, with a concentration in Financial Planning. He has taught a master's degree course in financial planning case studies via their online program. His bachelor's degree is in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University. Prior to becoming a financial planner, he served as an officer in the United States Navy and as an engineer for a Fortune 500 specialty chemical company. Randy is still active with his Naval ROTC unit and serves as treasurer of the Vanderbilt NROTC Alumni Association.
Randy was a member of the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and was Board Member of the Year for 2009. He is a 2008 Leadership Brentwood graduate and former member of the Leadership Brentwood Steering Board. Randy enjoys helping young adults prepare for their financial future and is a Junior Achievement instructor. He and his wife Monika are active real estate investors and are experienced in single and multi-family homes. They live in Brentwood with their two children.
