My personal philosophy and how I work with clients has been significantly shaped by my own life experiences. I was born with cerebral palsy and a severe speech impediment. Multiple surgeries, years of speech therapy and hard work have allowed me to achieve a better quality of life than anyone else imagined for me. I went from a child who could barely walk to playing on a state championship football team; from being hardly able to answer the phone to making frequent motivational talks to schools, businesses, and sports teams. Life can challenge our aspirations but financial planning can be a transformational force that allows dreams to become reality.
I have found that my clients value advice that is tailored to what matters most to them. They appreciate that I take the time to know them as individuals. They recognize that I continuously look for financial strategies to make their lives better. They want me to be proactive with communication and straight forward with recommendations. My clients understand that I provide them with more than just financial guidance but help them establish a life of greater personal satisfaction and well-being.
While my clients are unique, each one has challenges they have asked me to tackle.
-
Some of my clients have confronted transitions that excite them as well as scare them. These events include building a business, retiring to a second career, or protecting their families from financial uncertainties
-
Many clients have faced unplanned events that demand support – the death of a loved one, divorce, or dealing with aging parents. A sudden change in financial plans is often a result of these issues.
-
Others are challenged to plan for the legacy they want to leave. This is not limited to financial wealth transfer, but also to ensure their values are communicated to loved ones and causes they cherish.
My practice includes working with professionals such as attorneys, physicians, and executives. In addition, I have been pleased to work with business owners who must integrate their personal financial life with their businesses. In several cases I have counseled individuals who have inherited wealth that feel they must make crucial decisions in a limited time frame. My clients who are either contemplating retirement or living in retirement value my unique life-focused process.
My approach to financial planning focuses on your life and your money. My process incorporates advanced planning strategies and values the importance of human emotions in financial decisions. Investing in life-focused financial planning can lead to living a more meaningful and enjoyable life. We all have goals to achieve and financial obstacles to overcome -- let me help you with yours.
